Governance and public policies
France enjoys a unique experience in planning and land management for mountain tourism.
In less than half a century, public policy for development took the French mountains from being some of the poorest regions in the country to one of the West’s most desirable areas to visit.
Cluster Montagne has analyzed the strengths and weaknesses of these public policies. Working with both institutional and private partners, (local authorities, state agencies, lawyers, banks…), it closely follows the evolution of policy in France to position this expertise in those countries planning to develop their mountainous regions.
